GBP/USD comes with a bearish tone - FXStreet

“The 1 hour chart shows a quite strong bearish bias with 20 SMA heading strongly south above current price and momentum regaining the downside in negative territory, while RSI resumes the downside after partially correcting oversold readings”.

“In the 4 hours chart, technical readings also present a clear bearish tone, supporting a test of 1.6160 strong static support for the day. The upside should remain capped by another strong static level, 1.6345 price zone”.

Expectations of RBNZ 'intervention' all the more intense - BNZ

Craig Ebert, Senior Economist at BNZ, shares his view over the latest intervention threat by the RBNZ, which has helped the NZD bear case by cheapening the rate close to 0.78 at present.

NZ PM Key: Fair Kiwi value around 65 cents

New Zealand's Prime Minister Key said the fair level for NZD/USD is around 65 cents, adding that he agrees with the RBNZ in that the domestic currency is over-valued, while also noting that any sort of intervention to push the NZD lower "would be logical.
