EMU: Consumer Confidence improves slightly in May

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Eurozone Consumer Confidence increased to -21.9 in May, from -22.3 in April, the European Commission reported on Thursday. This result is in line with market consensus.

Eurozone Economic Sentiment Indicator rose to 89.4 in May from 88.6 recorded the previous month, above forecasts of growing to 89.

The Business Climate improved to -0.76, from -1.04, above expectations of rising to -0.87.

Industrial Confidence decline slowed down from -13.8 to -13, slightly above projections of -13.1. Services Sentiment grew to -9.3 from -11.1 and above market consensus of -10.8.
