The Swiss SVME Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index rose to 52.2 in May from 50.2 in April, according to data released today by the Schweizerischer Verband für Materialwirtschaft und Einkauf and Credit Suisse. Analysts expected only a slight increase to 50.9.
