US budget deficit shrinks to 2.8% GDP
FXStreet (Łódź) - According to the US Commerce Department figures released on Tuesday the US budget deficit shrunk to the lowest level seen since 2008.
The deficit narrowed to 2.8% of GDP during the twelve months up to September 30, amounting to 483.4 billion dollars. This is 29% less than the budget deficit recorded in the previous fiscal year.
The decline is due to the strong growth witnessed by the country in recent months, propped up byu government policies.
