Gold declines as US dollar strengthened after OPEC meet

Gold prices fell tracking the strength in the US Dollar after the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) group decided yesterday to hold production levels unchanged.

The ING Research Team notes that OPEC frequently used the world ‘unite’ among global producers yesterday during its announcement of no production cuts, implying that non-OPEC members should be the ones scaling back production.
