US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 346K
Fxstreet.com (Edinburgh) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 9K last week to a seasonally adjusted 346K in the week ended June 22, a tad below expectations at 345K and coming from 355K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 1K to a seasonally adjusted 2.965 million in the week ended June 15 vs. 2.966 million in the previous week (revised).
