Gold consolidates gains above $1250

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Gold closed today in NY at $1252.20 up +1.63% for the day, adding gains for second consecutive day, after posting a new multi-year record low last Friday around the $1180 level. The yellow metal is last trading at $1254 in the spot market, off fresh weekly highs at $1262 printed in early NY session.

Silver instead is flat for the week around the $19.69 spot price, off yesterday's weekly highs at $20.13. Oil in the other hand is also up for the week last around the $97.90 level, a +1.71% higher, although still rising less than Gold, thus the Gold:Oil ratio also higher today by +0.46% at the NY close.

Flash: 10-year US treasuries weaker on upbeat Euro data – RBS

According to the RBS Research Team, “US Treasuries are weaker on upbeat UK and EU PMI data, operating at 16-month highs in some cases.”
