Inflation should turn around in Q3 2015 – ECB’s Praet
FXStreet (Mumbai) - Peter Praet, chief economist at the European Central Bank (ECB), said today that the price pressures in the Eurozone should start rising from Q3 2015.
On falling oil prices, he stated that it is positive so long as the inflation expectations are solidly anchored. Mr Praet also said that the ECB’s expansion its asset purchase program was much needed, although the bank alone cannot solve the problems in the Eurozone, other authorities must take their responsibility.
