Bearish bets on 10-yr Treasury futures fall for a 4th week
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The speculators reduced overall bearish bets on the 10-year Treasury note futures in the last week, showed data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
The non-commercial futures contracts of the 10-year treasury notes in the data reported for January 27th totaled a net position of -107,892 contracts, lowest since Nov 25th. Long positions fell by 29,573 contracts, while the short positions declined by 67,279 contracts.
During the reporting time period - January 20th to January 27th - the yield on the 10-Year treasury note rose marginally from 1.82% to 1.83%.
