EUR/USD slumps below 1.2800

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The EUR/USD accelerated losses and stretched to fresh daily lows as it triggered stops on the break of the 1.2845 support level.

EUR/USD hits 3-month low

The EUR/USD dropped over 50 pips within the last minutes with no clear catalyst other than stops orders, although the gloomy IMF picture didn't help. EUR/USD fell to a 3-month low of 1.2790 so far and it was last around 1.2800, where it records a 0.5% loss on the day.

EUR/USD eyes 2013 low

If EUR/USD breaks below 1.2746 (Apr 4 low), it will be trading at its lowest this year. Next supports could then be found at 1.2700 (psychological level) and 1.2660 (Nov 13 2012 low).

EUR/JPY collapses to session lows

The EUR/JPY technical pair plummeted Tuesday during US trading, surrendering its grip on the 130.00 level in recent minutes, whilst crashing to intraday lows.
