Greek's list for Eurogroup approved - ING
FXStreet (Guatemala) - Carsten Brzeski, analyst at ING Bank explained and noted that the Eurozone finance ministers just approved the first list of Greek reforms.
Key Quotes:
"As requested, the Greek government last night submitted a list with reform proposals. If really implemented, these reforms would be impressive, as they would finally lead to the overhaul of the economy and society earlier Greek governments failed to deliver."
"In detail, the Greek list fulfils the Eurozone’s requirements."
"Some might say that it could have been written by the Eurogroup itself. It is a set of structural reforms aimed at tackling corruption and tax evasion, increasing the efficiency of the public sector and competitiveness of the Greek economy."
"Particularly the measures to tackle corruption, welfare fraud and tax evasion look more determined and credible than in the past."
"At first glance, the Greek list looks promising and it is therefore no surprise that the Eurogroup quickly approved the list."
