AUD/NZD jumps above 1.17 again

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The AUD/NZD foreign exchange cross rate is last quoted at 1.1720 bids, jumping on the back of Aussie strength following RBA meeting minutes.

AUD/NZD on the bid as RBA August cut less likely

The AUD/NZD cross moved above the 1.17 handle for second time this week trading last at 1.1722 although this time the move comes in the back of Aussie strength instead of Kiwi weakness, as it was the case during late London session, when Asian central banks were reported to be selling the NZD/USD.

AUD/NZD key technical levels

Immediate resistance to the upside for AUD/NZD shows at July 09 highs 1.1720, followed by recent London session weekly highs at 1.1738, and Thursday's highs at 1.1756. To the downside, closest support lies at recent session and July 10 lows 1.1635, followed by past Thursday's lows at 1.1616, and Friday's fresh 4.5-year lows at 1.1580.
