Germany: ZEW Survey – Economic Sentiment slides to 36.3 in July

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The German ZEW Survey – Economic Sentiment fell to 36.3 points in July, from 38.5 points in June, the Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung reported today. Market consensus pointed to an increase to 39.6 points.

The German ZEW Survey – Current Situation jumped to 10.6 points from 8.6 points and above forecasts of a rise to 9 points.

EMU: Annual CPI grows 1.6% in June, as expected

Eurostat informed today that Eurozone annual inflation increased 1.6% in June, up from the 1.4% growth registered the previous month. This result is in line with projections. On a monthly basis CPI ticked up 0.1% in June, after climbing 0.1% in May, as expected.

The Eurozone ZEW Survey – Economic Sentiment grew to 32.8 points in July, from 30.6 points in June, the Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung reported on Tuesday. Market experts projected less growth to 31.8 points.
