Schäuble praises Greek reforms, urges more effort
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - During a joint press conference in Athens with Greek finance minister Yannis Stournaras, Wolfgang Schäuble praised Greece's austerity efforts to date, stressing however that there was still a lot to be done.
As expected, the German finance minister also announced Germany's readiness to provide financial aid of around 100 million euros for Greek firms through its development bank KfW.
Yannis Stournaras on the other hand called for a greater “political and economic unification" in the EU, which would help to overcome the crisis and spur growth in the area.
