NZD/USD held by resistance

FXstreet.com (New York) - The NZD/USD technical pair has maintained a sideways course during the afternoon of US trading Friday, clinging on to steadfast gains from earlier today.

In these moments, the NZD/USD is presently securing a robust advance of +0.60% above it’s opening, now operating at 0.7949 at the time of writing. Given this recent consolidation, the pair will face resistance at 0.7943, onto 0.7978, notes the Mataf.net analyst team.

NZD/USD strategic bias

According to the Technical Analyst Team at ICN.com, “The NZD/USD penetrated the high at 0.7966 and key level, however the break remains over intraday basis and unstable at best. Our previous bearish scenario is active and remains valid so long as 0.8000 level is intact.”

USD/JPY consolidates above 100.00

Even though the dollar is a touch softer across the board, the USD/JPY managed to erase its intraday losses and settled above 100.00 at the beginning of the New York session.
