AUD/JPY fails to hold above 95.00

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The aussie is falling on Thursday against the yen trimming weekly gains. AUD/JPY faced resistance again at 96.00 and pulled back.

The pair rose from 94.65 to 95.66 during the Asian session despite a soft Australian jobs report. But then lost strength and retreated. Recently bottomed at 94.48, the lowest level since early Tuesday.

Currently trades at 94.65, down 0.50%, after being unable to rise back above 95.00, falling for the second day in a row.

AUD/JPY techincal levels

Momentum currently favors the yen, after AUD/JPY once again faced resistance at 96.00. On the short term, immediate resistance could be located at 95.00 and above here at 95.65 and the mentioned 96.00. To the downside, support could be seen at 94.50 (daily low), 94.15 and 93.95.
