US stocks end lower amid mixed earnings, eyes on Fed

FXStreet (Córdoba) - US stocks closed lower on Tuesday amid mixed results from earnings reports, while investors attention turns to Wednesday CPI data and the FOMC minutes for signs whether the Fed is ready to hike rates in September.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 33.84 points, or 0.19%, at 17,511.34. The S&P 500 Index fell 5.52 points, or 0.26%, to end at 2,096.92. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 32.35 points, or 0.64%, to close at 5.059.35.

USD/JPY: bulls looking for a reason - FXStreet
