Bundesbank’s Weidmann will not vote at today’s ECB rate decision

As per European Central Bank’s (ECB) rotation of voting rights policy, Bundesbank President and a governing council member Jens Weidmann, who is a renowned hawk, does not get to vote at today’s ECB rate review.

The ECB decision is based on a consensus view; however, no vote for Weidmann means hawks could fall short by one vote.
