AUD/USD grinding to a halt?
FXstreet.com (London) - AUD/USD is a slow start to the week stuck in a tight range.
Jane Foley, Senior Currency Strategist at Rabobank said “AUD has lost over 2% vs. the USD since the middle of last week following the warnings from RBA Governor Stevens that he wouldn’t “eschew” currency intervention”. There is a light calendar with just Pending Home Sales from the US that came in marginally worse. RBA deputy governor is speaking a little later ahead of data releases later in the week; The show might start to escalate by then.
AUD/USD Levels
The 20 DMA is 0.9403, the 50 DMA is 0.9443 and the 200 DMA is 0.9640. RSI (14) reads 43.35. Supports are ascending from 0.8973, 0.9038, 0.9070, 0.9115. Spot is currently 0.9151 while resistances are 0.9207, 0.9249, 0.9260 and 0.9278.
