USD/CNY fix model: Projection at 6.4693 - Nomura

Nomura's model projects the fix to be higher by 104 pips from the previous fix (6.4693 from 6.4589) and lower by 162 pips from the previous spot USD/CNY official close 6.4855. Nomura adds that the basket implied change is lower by 362 pips from the previous spot USD/CNY official close (6.4493 from 6.4855).

EUR/USD expands gains, at 8-month highs

EUR/USD is extending its gains during the Asian session, last trading circa 1.1540 new highs, with the theme of broad-based USD weakness persisting as the Fed fails to commit on a further rates hikes in the near future, judging by the latest FOMC.

USD/JPY: fresh 18-month lows, RBA to shake it up more?

USD/JPY is scrapping the barrel of a fresh 18-month low in lighter trade with Japan being out for holidays and the USD/JPY down to test 106.00 with a low scored just recently at 106.03, sending Nikkei futures to test lows close to 16000.
