US: Markit services PMI at 51.2 in May

The preliminary reading of the May Markit services PMI for the US came in at 51.2, below market expectations of 53.1.

Even though the index remained above the 50.0 threshold for third consecutive month, it was the weakest rise in service sector activity for three months.
