USD/CHF extends the breakdown of 0.9800

The greenback remains on the defensive, albeit marginally today, collaborating with the daily decline of USD/CHF to fresh lows in sub-0.9800 levels.

USD/CHF weaker ahead of US docket

Spot is losing ground for the third consecutive session at the end of the week, falling below the 0.9800 handle in response to some sort of pick up in the demand for the safe haven CHF.

Ahead in the session, the pair will remain under pressure in light of key releases across the Atlantic: CPI figures, Retail Sales, the Reuters/Michigan index and Business Inventories.

USD/CHF key levels

The pair is now losing 0.19% at 0.9788 facing the next support at 0.9760 (low Jul.14) followed by 0.9684 (low Jul.5) and finally 0.9517 (low Jun.23). On the flip side, a break above 0.9905 (high Jul.13) would expose 0.9960 (high May 30) and then 1.0098 (high Mar.10).
