Asian stocks waver amid cautious trades ahead of NFP

The stocks on the Asian markets outside Australia, wavered between gains and losses as traders remained on the side-lines ahead of the critical US labour market report due later in the NA session.

The Japanese stocks defend mild gains amid a better bid USD/JPY, in response higher commodities’ prices, which keeps the overall market sentiment buoyed. While the Australian markets drop sharply, weighed down by heavy losses in the financial sector stocks, which fell 1.02%.

The Japanese benchmark index, the Nikkei 225 trades +0.05% at 16,935. The Australian S&P/ASX 200 drops -0.95% to 5,365 points.

The Chinese equities swing either side; with the benchmark Shanghai Composite index trading modestly flat, the CSI300 index trades +0.22% higher. While Hong Kong markets rise +0.44% to trade around 23,265 levels.
