European stocks rise amid positive corporate news

The stocks on the European bourses snapped a two-day losing streak and edged higher on Tuesday, lifted by upbeat corporate earnings reports, while a positive close on the Asian indices also underpinned the investors’ sentiment somewhat.

The advance in the region’s indices is led by strong gains in the energy, metals and mining sectors' stocks, in response to fresh buying seen across the commodities’ space, particularly in gold and copper prices.

On the corporate news front, the French biggest phone carrier, Orange, rose almost 4% after reporting increase in sales during Q3, Randstad Holding NV rose 3.5% on reports of above expectations revenue results.

Meanwhile, Germany's DAX 30 index rises +0.31% to 10,795 levels, while the UK's FTSE 100 index gains +0.34% to, 7,010. Among the other indices, the French CAC 40 index trades muted around 4,550, while the pan-European Euro Stoxx 50 index trading marginally lower just below 31k mark.
