NZD/USD hits fresh 2-week lows

NZD/USD came under strong pressure on Friday, extending losses to fresh 2-week lows amid broad USD strength.

NZD/USD broke below previous lows in the 0.7170 zone and accelerated to a low of 0.7129 in recent dealings, with the greenback getting some support from Fischer comments and consumer sentiment data.

At time of writing, the pair is trading at 0.7135, down 0.97% on the day and on track for a  2.6% weekly loss.

NZD/USD levels to consider

As for technical levels, next supports are seen at 0.7107 (Oct 27 low), 0.7076 (Oct 14 & 17 lows) and 0.7034 (Oct 13 low). On the flip side, resistances line up at 0.7208 (100-day SMA), 0.7263 (10-day SMA) and 0.7306 (Nov 10 high).
