NZ government to increase minimum wage to $15.75

The minimum wage will rise by 50 cents to $15.75 an hour on 1 April, the New Zealand government announced today.

Workplace Relations and Safety Minister Michael Woodhouse said the increase in minimum wage would benefit about 119,500 workers and will increase wages throughout the economy by $65 million per year.
