S. Korea: Foreign investors continue to buy KTBs even amid N. Korea tensions

A South Korea’s Finance Ministry official said on Thursday, foreign investors continue to buy Korean treasury bonds (KTBs) this month, despite persisting political tensions around North Korea.

Park Seong-dong, director general of the treasury bureau noted (via Reuters):

“There is a continued influx (into South Korean treasury bonds) from many central banks as they retain a stable outlook on South Korea’s economic fundamentals and credit rating.”
