Japan decides to introduce new missile defense amid North Korea threat - Nikkei

As reported by the Nikkei Asian Review this Tuesday, the Japanese government decided to introduce a land-based Aegis missile defense system to step up Japan's defenses against the rapidly advancing North Korean nuclear and missile program.

According to the Defense Ministry officials, the purchase cost of a single system, developed by Lockheed Martin Corp., would be at least 100 billion yen ($888 million).
