NZD/JPY flat around 88.70

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The NZD/JPY remains steady, trading around 88.80, flat for the last two trading days. Last week price rose to 89.91, reaching levels not seen since 2007 but then reversed and retreated sharply until finding support around 88.50, last Thursday.

The Kiwi attempted to resume the upside but on Friday and also on Monday but failed to hold above 89.00 and on both occasions pulled back toward 88.70, where currently trades, holding a steady tone early in Asia.

Recently in New Zealand the NZIER Business Confidence opinion survey was released: it showed a decline from 53 to 52 in the first quarter; the Kiwi was not affected by the economic data.
