The Fed said Here! The Dow closed at record high
FXStreet (San Francisco) - Wall Street closed higher on Wednesday as investors cheered the Fed some hawkish statement and its decision to continue its tapper despite recent slowdown.
The Dow Jones reached its first record close high in 2014 while the S&P finished nearly record high and the Nasdaq recovered to close positive after trading negative the whole day.
The Dow Jones advanced 45.47 points or 0.27% to finish at 16,580.84; the S&P 500 added 5.62 pts or 0.30% to finish at 1,883.95; while the Nasdaq Composite won 11.01 pts or 0.27% to 1,883.95.
