NZ jobs: Unemployment rate unchanged, participation increases
New Zealand's employment change (Q1) stood at +0.9% vs +0.7% and +1.1% expected, after 22,000 people found a new job, with the jobless rate at 6% vs 5.8% expected and 6% last. With regards to the labour cost index (QoQ), it came at +0.3% vs 0.5% expected and 0.6% last. The participation rate was 69.3% vs 68.8% estimates and 68.9% last.
