UK's Frost: No breakthroughs and no breakdowns in N. Ireland talks

David Frost, the British minister responsible for implementing the Brexit deal, said on Wednesday that there were no breakthroughs and no breakdowns in Northern Ireland Protocol talks with the European Union, as reported by Reuters.

"We need to find a solution," Frost added and reiterated that the UK is happy to work on pragmatic solutions with the EU.

Market reaction

The market mood remains sour following these comments. As of writing, the UK's FTSE 100 Index was down 0.57% on the day at 7,054 and the Euro Stoxx 50 Index was losing 0.32% at 4,083.
